Sifter

Sifter is a calm letter-grid word hunt. You drag through neighbouring letters to spell words of four letters or more, and you score points by length. Every day has a planted key word with a short riddle clue, and finding it carries a bonus. Same grid for everyone.

How to play

1. You get a 4 by 4 grid of letters and a riddle clue for the day's key word.
2. Press a letter and drag through 8-way neighbours to spell a word. Each letter is used at most once per word.
3. Release to submit. Longer words score more (1 / 2 / 3 / 5 / 11 points for 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8+ letters).
4. Tap "Done for today" when you're ready. The key word adds a five-point bonus on top of its length points.

Scoring and streaks

• Finding at least one valid word counts toward your streak and earns one star.
• A healthy score, or finding the key word at all, earns two stars.
• Finding the key word plus piling on enough other points earns three stars.

Sharing your result

When you finish, you get a spoiler-free badge to share. It shows how you did, never the answer, so friends can be curious without spoiling their own puzzle.

Common questions

Is everyone's grid the same?

Yes. Every player gets the identical grid each day.

What counts as a valid word?

Any common English word of four letters or more, traced through 8-way neighbouring cells with no letter reused.

Do I have to find the key word?

No. You can finish the day on any valid finds. The key word is a bonus that earns extra points and a star tier.
